Karen Dawn Ferguson's Blog: My foremost interest is my family. I simply love being a Mother. I love and respect Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II and I painted portraiture of her for two years. I am a professional artist and my website is www.theartcupboard.co.nz. My children (now adults) are my daughter Chloe Ferguson who has a daughter and my son Lauchlan Ferguson who is my son still at home with me. A significant role model and family figure in my life growing up was my beautiful Grandmother, who I call Nana, Mrs Miriam Maher nee Symons from Foxton, New Zealand. My favourite things are my Alexander McQueen Sunglasses which are my rose coloured glasses and my Versace reading glasses. I love art and I love to paint. I also love making jewellery and pottery. I like my art a little obscure and spontaneous. I love to cook tasty healthy meals and the spicier the better although I like ordinary fresh foods as well. I enjoy a good curry. I love my car which is a humble grey Nissan Wingroad as it allows us to carry all of my camping gear in February for our annual holiday in the sun.
